Sheet music scanner app for Android
Scan sheet music. Hear it play.
Photograph a page of printed music and ClefSnap turns it into a score you can hear, edit and transpose. It all happens on your phone: no account, no upload, and it works offline.
From paper to sound in three steps
- Snap the page. Take a photo, choose photos or scans you already have, or import a PDF.
- Check the doubts. ClefSnap shows you the bars it is unsure of and asks about them, one question at a time.
- Play it, change it, use it. Listen, practise your part, transpose it, arrange it or perform from it.

Your music stays on your phone
ClefSnap reads your pages on the device, so your photos, scans and scores are never sent to us. There is no account to create, and scanning works with no connection at all. That matters in a rehearsal room with poor signal, and it matters for your own unpublished music.
Who uses it
- Students and amateur players with paper scores who want to hear how a piece should go.
- Choir singers and directors who need one voice at a time, or the whole piece in a lower key.
- Teachers who transpose or simplify a piece for a student and print the result.
- Church musicians and accompanists working from hymn books, in whatever key the day needs.
- Arrangers and hobby composers who harmonize a tune, add an accompaniment or write a lead sheet.
